Treatment duration depends on your diagnosis, the severity of your impairments, your past medical history, and other factors. Re-evaluations will be done to assess your progress and your therapist communicates with your GP to help you achieve your therapy goals.

Be prepared to provide your previous medical or surgical history. If you have them and if they are relevant bring scan/MRI reports, and list of medication.
Bring your medicare card, referral if relevant and private health card if you have one.
You may wish to bring shorts and t-shirt for the gym and bathers, towel and change of clothes if you are using the pool.
If we are treating your feet you will not be asked to undress but if we are treating your spine, modest underwear or even a pair of shorts is appropriate.
We understand that life happens and there are times where you may be unable to attend your appointment.
We require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation of your appointment. Charges may be incurred if you do not provide sufficient notice for cancellations and the rescheduling of appointments.
All participants must provide at least 2 hours notice if unable to attend their scheduled class. If you miss a class or fail to provide the required 2 hours notice, the full-service fee (the standard rate of one class) will apply for that session.
No, physiotherapists can assess and treat without referral by a doctor. However most health insurers require a doctors referral before they authorise cover of fees, some only require a phone call.
We accept all private health funds at Adelaide Active Rehab & Therapy.
