Amy graduated as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in 2014 from the University of Queensland. Amy worked for 2 years as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist in a private practice in Queensland before making the move to Ballarat, Victoria where she worked in Health Administration for 4 years. When Amy moved to Adelaide 3 years ago she began working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist again starting in Aged Care and then moved to Adelaide Active in July.
Amy has over 4 years experience working with all ages and conditions from children to older adults, chronic pain, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal conditions and mental health on both land and in the water. Amy has a keen interest in helping children/adolescents/adults with mental health concerns, paediatrics, neurological conditions and Pilates. Amy loves to help foster healthy relationships with exercise and has a caring and empathetic approach with all clients.
Outside of work, Amy loves to spend time with her husband and dog Koda Benjamin Bear Wallen (A very adorable 6 year old Groodle) either going for walks or cooking up a storm at home. Amy was also a swimmer in a past life and has a big passion for hydrotherapy and water and understands first hand how the water can help with many conditions including mental health. Amy is open about her own mental health struggles and hopes that her lived experience can help others to create a healthy and rich life.
Amy can’t wait to see you in the clinic when you are in next!
