Struggling with pain, limited mobility, or discomfort during exercise? Hydrotherapy is a safe, gentle solution that can help you move more freely without the strain of traditional exercise.
Our pool is a consistent 34°C, perfect for easing muscle tension and promoting healing.
Led by our accredited Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and Allied Health Assistants.
Tailored to your individual needs, whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or improving mobility.
From toddlers to the elderly, our hydrotherapy services cater to all age groups and abilities.
Otherwise immobile patients are able to move with more freedom and exercise with reduced pain levels providing mental relief.
When exercising in waist-deep water, the buoyancy reduces your weight to less than half.
Balance exercises you may be afraid of doing on land can be done safely in the water.
The warmth of the water promotes the relaxation of your muscles which helps to reduce muscle spasms.
The warm water causes the blood vessels to widen which can improve blood circulation to the areas of pain. This helps to improve mobility through an increased range of motion.
Water creates resistance to help build muscle strength. These exercises can also be progressed to include floatation devices making it harder.
The hydrostatic pressure of the water reduces swelling while exercising and postexercise muscle soreness.
Burn more calories than land based exercises because of water resistence.
The warm water reduces pressure on your joints, making movement easier and more comfortable.
Water provides a safe environment where balance exercises can be done without the fear of injury.
The warmth of our hydrotherapy pool relaxes muscles, reducing spasms and helping you feel more mobile.
Water allows you to move more freely, helping to improve flexibility and strength over time.

Wonderful facility for pool therapy and exercise. Staff are friendly and helpful and the pool and
surrounds are clean and well maintained. Physio Robyn is wonderful and helped me with a program,
now self guided, to assist in improving mobility and strengthen muscles. It is an enjoyable and gentle
way to exercise.
Warm, soothing water.
Wide range of equipment available for following your therapy plan independently.
Beautiful social atmosphere. No judgement. Great friendships to be formed.
Amazing, highly skilled, caring exercise physiologists working with clients of all ages and range of disabilities. Great love and compassion shown.
Staff so welcoming.
I call it the "Pool of Love".
I was very impressed with Mark Johnston's treatment and advice. I'm 6 months post knee replacement and still suffering pain and swelling and wondering how I could possibly do more to speed my recovery - nothing seemed to be having the desired effect. Mark pinpointed my physical problems, explained the reason behind each exercise, and has given me a plan of action that I feel very positive about. Excellent service!!
I found this place through a friend and through a care plan ,the staff are very friendly and professional I found myself to be very comfortable with the surroundings and the way the staff keep everyone safe.I found that they have classes which are suiting me The only thing that would be great if you could have more free time to visit the site. The pricing is affordable and who can put a price on your health and mobility. Give them ago you wont regret it.
Madison is fantastic. Worked out detailed exercise program for me, worked through it; she understands I may not be able to afford to keep coming after the Care Plan, but has made me feel confident to work at it on my own for a while then maybe come back at intervals to see her and/or to come on casual visits. I'm really impressed; I felt in a limbo with nowhere to go to do something about my back, but my time with her has made me feel more positive about the possibilities. Thanks so much. Dee
We have been coming to Adelaide Active for a number of years. My son attends the swimclusion class which he loves and his safety awareness in the water has improved greatly, and his swimming strokes have improved also. My youngest son who is sensory, made huge changes from attending. The beautiful facilities are top notch, clean, the pool is lovely and warm but mostly the staff are so friendly, caring and go above and beyond to support our kids needs.
Watching the team work happily and professionally together, supporting their clients with their health goals makes me so happy that we attend such a great business.
Highly recommend
